Final Conference

SEPTEMBER 2024

Are you a VET school dealing with mobilities? Are you an organization that would like to increase its support and inclusion for vocational students with disability? Are you a company hosting international students for internship? This event is for you!

We invite you to join us in a meaningful dialogue aimed at enhancing the inclusivity of  mobility projects. Our focus has primarily been on Erasmus+ KA1 mobility projects, but the invaluable recommendations and insights we’ve gathered are universally applicable to all forms of mobilities.

During our online conference (26.09.2024, 10:00 AM GMT+2) our project partners will present their project results, in particular A set of specific recommendations, procedures and best practices in the field of inclusion people with disability in VET mobilities.

The core objective of our project has been to empower sending, hosting, and intermediary organizations in facilitating vocational training activities for students with disabilities from technical schools.

Our target groups encompass technical schools, educators, mentors, students during international internships, institutions orchestrating internships, and the employers hosting students under the Erasmus+ programme.

International meeting in Greece

APRIL 2024

 

The final international meeting took place from April 9 to 11, 2024, this time in Athens, Greece. The visit was organized by the Greek partner, the Institute of Citizen's Sustainable Development and Health. It was a key meeting, attended by partners from Poland, Finland, Cyprus, and Greece, allowing for the exchange of experiences and reflections on the activities carried out so far, as well as planning the next steps in the project’s implementation.

The meeting’s agenda was very rich and included visits to various educational institutions and businesses, which allowed participants to gain a deeper understanding of the Greek vocational education system and the employment opportunities for people with disabilities. We visited vocational schools, logistics companies, and enterprises in the hospitality industry. Special attention was given to the visit to Goldair Handling, one of the key ground services providers in Greece. During the meetings with representatives of these institutions, various aspects of integrating people with disabilities into the workplace were discussed, as well as how companies and institutions can develop vocational training programs that take the needs of these individuals into account.

The final international meeting in Athens concluded the series of study visits that took place in various countries, including Poland, Cyprus, and Finland. During these visits, the GO4VET project partners gathered the necessary data and experiences that will be used to adapt the Learning Agreements for selected professions and to develop recommendations on including students with disabilities in international vocational mobility projects within the Erasmus+ programme.

International meeting in Finland

JANUARY 2024

 

On 23-25 ​​January 2024, an international meeting was held in Finland in Anjalia and Kouvolia as part of the Go for VET in Erasmus+ project. Together with Partners from Greece, Finland, Poland and Cyprus, we were looking for the best solutions that would allow students with disabilities to benefit from mobility and go on internships abroad.

We were hosted by the Ankkapurha Cultural Foundation in Anjalia. We took part in study visits to: Eduko Vocational School in Kouvolia (basic degree in media and visual expression), the Saaga Multicultural Center and the Youth House "NuPa" also in Kouvolia. We were also at the Parik Foundation. We also visited the interesting Museum in Kouvolia. Taking part in field and archery activities with guests from the Parik Foundation (a mixed group of project participants and disabled people) was quite an experience.

Thanks to various study visits, we learned about the situation on the labor market in Finland, vocational education and adapting workplaces to the capabilities of employees with disabilities. We managed to exchange experiences with our Partners. During the meeting, we also worked on the results of the project, not only on mobility internship programs for students of technical schools, but also on a partial report, a guide to supporting people with disabilities in the hotel, logistics, veterinary and photography and multimedia sectors.

International meeting in Larnaca

OCTOBER 2023

 

On October 3-5, 2023, another international meeting was held as part of the Go for VET in Erasmus+ project. This time the meeting was hosted by LTB – Larnaka Tourism Board.

We held further study meetings, which were an opportunity to collect good practices in the field of vocational education and cooperation and involvement of people with disabilities in mobility projects. We visited, among others, Sandy Beach Hotel, Mikes Kanarium Hotel, UCLan University, St. Barnada, as well as the Larnaca Municipality Office.

In addition to study visits, we also worked on the project’s results – learning agreements programs for 4 professions and recommendations and good practices in the field of inclusion of students with disability into international vocational mobility projects under the Erasmus+ programme.

The meeting was attended by partners from Poland, Finland and Greece.

International meeting in Poland

JUNE 2023

 

On June 27-29th 2023, the first international meeting was held as part of the Go for VET in Erasmus+ project. Zespół Szkół Ponadpodstawowych no 1 in Krotoszyn and Dobre Kadry Research-Training Centre hosted the partnership in Wrocław and Krotoszyn. The visit was attended by project partners from Cyprus, Finland and Greece.

We managed to visit, among others: Hotel Park Plaza Wroclaw, Cafe Równik, Polish Association of the Deaf – Lower Silesian Medical Center, Animar FHU doctor’s office. vet. Marek Wosiek. We conducted study visits to collect good practices in the field of vocational education and cooperation and involvement of people with disabilities in mobility projects. We also participated in training on the characteristics of various types of disabilities.

In addition to study visits, we also worked on the project’s results – learning agreements programs for 4 professions and recommendations and good practices in the field of inclusion of students with disability into international vocational mobility projects under the Erasmus+ programme.

On the last day of the visit, the meeting took place in Zespół Szkół Ponadpodstawowych no 1 in Krotoszyn, where, despite the holidays, we met teachers and students from individual fields of education. These were informative and busy days, but we fully implemented the agreed meeting plan.
